Pearl Jam selling bootlegs
The news section of Pearl Jam's offical fan site informs the world the band digitally recorded every one of their recent European shows and is making them available to fans for purchase. Twelve shows, twenty-four CDs, each with it's own artwork and mixed by the band's house mixer.

This is exactly what bands should be doing to reduce bootlegging profits, but how much did this cost them? Would this be better released as MP3s? But then no profit...

It's possible the band stands to make a lot of money from this as die hard fans buy every show. And I'm sure there was little expense compared to a studio album...
