Regurgitator's new single 'Crush The Loosers', an olympic themed EP released during the Olympics. Six tracks, 'Crush The Loosers', 'Injury', 'Time In The Wilderness', 'Physio', 'Comeback' and 'Return of the Looser' a remix of 'Crush The Loosers'.
Crush The Loosers has been getting a lot of play on Triple J and is an 80's pop/rock/wankmetal jem. Big riffs, huge chorus, kid's choir singing 'Crush.. CRUSH THE LOOSERS' over the end. Little random record scratchings...
What people don't seem to understand these days is Regurgitator love taking the piss. They write awesome pop songs while at the same time baging the exact genre they are playing. My favourite example 'Pop Porn' from their debut album 'Tu Plang' is a pure rap song.. 'I'm a sexist mother fu*ker on the microphone...'. A lot of people don't seem to get it
This EP rules, every second on it. 'Comeback' is a cheezy Underworldy/80's cover of 'Eye Of The Tiger' and I love it. Millions hate it. I guess they just can't picture Quam and the guy's pissing themselves laughing as they play...
