I'm a huge fan of 80's soundtracks, 80's metal, 80's retro. 80's everything. Think the huge keyboard solos in the middle of Deep Purple's sets. Think Vince DeCota of the Transformers Soundtrack fame. Think some of the best computer game music you've ever heard (from the 80's) and jam it in one place.
And on top of that MK manages to cover a lot of genres. Active VIII is pure speed dance, Into The Distance is mellow easy listening, Aquara is modern Enya-esque mellow dance, Hyperdrive is like an insane Phantom of the Opera in an electronic keyboard shop.
You may not agree with me, you may be scared of a bit of MIDI cheese, you may be thinking it's all a little over the top. You may vomit at the instrumental soundtracks of the 80's. Well I don't and this is definitely my shit. Have a listen.
