David Bowie
David Bowie has Bowienet. He has his official site. He gives his music away for promotional purposes at MP3.com. He encourages his fans to cover and/or remix his tracks. And he created "Earthling", one of my favourite albums. He changed his name from the rather dull 'David Jones' to the slightly more interesting 'David Bowie'.

I don't mind that people think I'm related to this guy.
