Translating popularity on the net to CD sales
Wired.com reports on MP3.com artist Fisher's (recently signed to Universal/Farmclub.com) debut CD release. Apparently Fisher managed millions of downloads from MP3.com but so far the album has 'only' sold about 2800 units. I think that's pretty damn good myself and as the article says, it takes a lot longer to spread throughout the music world offline as it does online. Check Fisher out at MP3.com.
