Copy Protection Rant
Links to this rant on why copy protection is bad have been fly around the net lately, probably thanks to Slashdot. Interesting read and makes some nice comments about what RIAA etc. would do in a world with a perfect replicator, just like Star Trek.

Free distribution for your music
MP3.com.au, MP3.com etc. are all well and good but do industry heads actually go there to hear music? No, they don't. But they do listen to compilations sent to them by people they've heard from before, like the RRR Burns compilations from Melbourne radio station Triple R. AusNoise is another good example of this, spotted on the aus.music newsgroup.
