Napster subscription update
Looks like they're aiming on getting Napster as a subscription service by July. We see by the last comment on Slashdot on this story that it seems Napster may remain exactly as it is, but charge for a premium service (high quality + complete files, high bandwidth connections etc.). The Q+A at Napster is a little vague and the original story seems to indicate that Napster will be a full subscription service, not free at all. Although that is likely to be the cause of media hype.

The Big Day Out
The Big Day Out, a huge Australia/New Zealand festival recently had a fairly big blow with Limp Bizkit pulling out. The Age has a fairly interesting feature story on the band.

Big Day Out tickets were over $80 this year simply because LB were playing (they were reported to have been paid millions to play the gig). However there are still a lot of bands worth seeing at the event like Powderfinger (who apparently rocked), sonicanimation, Placebo, Rammstein and DJ Carl Cox.

I've given up on festivals myself. Far too expensive, far too many people and just not the fun I have at a gig for an individual artist. A lot probably has to do with the fact I just can't keep bopping all day any more (could I ever?).

Singles
I've gone single mad recently. I've been hunting down all those little b-sides I've previously given up finding. I'm especially hunting down Regurgitator at the moment, only needing FSO, Miffy's and Kong Foo Sing to complete my collection. I'm concidering reviewing some old/rare singles for the site, explaining why they're worth getting and for what songs etc, stating prices that I've seen it for and more.
