I have a cold... again. Some may remember me complaining of being a little bit sick a couple of Thursdays ago. It's taken this long to grow to a full cold. Snarl.
Napster decision on Monday
Cnet informs us that the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco will make it's decision about the immediate future of Napster on Monday. That's tomorrow for you USians out there. Expect the web to be especially clogged tonight.
Sevcom.com
Who? Severed Heads. Old band. Giving all their music away on their website. Have been doing it since the mid 90's apparently, when MP2 was the standard. They rule. A lot. I might even listen to their music one day.
Aukland
Aukland... Capital of New Zealand right? Nope, not since 1865. Wellington is the captial of New Zealand. My girlfriend lost a slab over it but I refused to bet, even though I was sure Aukland was right. I'm not the betting type. At least not on this sort of thing. A product of never being 100% sure of myself, even when I am.
Chris Huelsbeck
Chris wrote the music to Giana Sisters, one of my favourite C64 games. He has been writing music for soundtracks/games for a while and I thought it was definitely worth a link.... in a crazy 80's synth game music kinda way.
Fat? Guess why.
It is the design of cities above everything that is making Americans fat. Many cities in the US (and a lot of suburbs not in Australia) built around the assumption that everyone will drive to where they want to go, even if it's only a few hundred metres away. No sidewalks/footpaths, no crossings. If you tried to walk you'd probably be killed. (via Null Device)
Bill Bryson has a LOT to say about this topic among many other US injustices in his book, "A Walk In The Woods".
