How long has the official Regurgitator page been there? Why didn't anyone tell me? Up to date news (not much, Crush The Loosers EP, and the band is in the UK mixing the 'new album') and a good discography. Not much else...

REM's thoughts on Napster  #

I like hearing current 'big' band's opinions of 'the whole Napster thing'. The article linked above has a quote from Michael Stipe and Peter Buck. Like most, they're positive but to a point. I'd hate to be a band who's sole source of income was music right now. I'd have the strong feeling I was about to lose my job.

One of my fav bands, Pre_Shrunk are going to play in my local pub, 'TAB Live tryhard nightclub hellhole' The Mountain View Hotel on Friday 6th April. The Mountain View has recently started having original bands on and I can't pat them harder on the back for doing it. Hopefully it keeps happening.

The Grand Silent System's new EP 'They Who Built' will be launched at The Espy's Gershwin room on March 31st. I'll be there.

Also, you have to check out GSS's new website. It's exactly the site I wanted to build for Pre_Shrunk but just never got around to it (needing to host the site on an ASP/SQL server didn't help).

A full database of the band's gig history including setlists, photos and reviews AND the ability for fans to add more info by logging in and uploading images or reviews. Awesome.

Faith No More / Mr Bungle have a similar fan-built (unofficial) database of gigs/photos/articles at www.cv.org/database/.

Prime Number  #

This is definitely my favourite DeCSS thingy. A prime number that when converted to hexadecimal forms a gzip file containing the original C-source code for decrypting DVD. Is the number illegal? No. Explain what the number means and how to 'decrypt' it probably is.

A T-Shirt with the number and 'you know what it's for' would be cool.
