Well any moron could see this coming. Scape.com was the best example of an obvious dotcom flop before it even started. Ten/Village deserve everything they get.

Boring  #

VM informs the world that Powderfinger are boring.

"To the correspondent who disputed my claim that Powderfinger are boring: Well, they are. They're Australia's answer to Matchbox Twenty."

I wouldn't go that far. I'd probably give that title to Taxiride. But I'm biased.

A band that used to do bad rock/metal/pop, did a great rock album, then a not so great album, then a shit album? I'd probably go for Live myself.

Happy Birthday To Me  #

I'm 23. Have a beer for me. A beer you've never had before. Preferably one from overseas. If you're in San Francisco, have an Anchor Steam.

Happy Birthday to Ainsley. Happy Birthday to Dave. Happy Birthday to all who have birthdays. Happy.

I got toys, DVDs, concert tickets and money. I'm only 10 on the inside.

MPAA may embrase DivX;)  #

Subject URL: MPAA may embrase DivX;)

The MPAA have supposedly learned from 'the whole Napster thing' and are set to embrase digital distribution before it's too late. Good thing? It could be... I'm still looking to be able to watch any show I want at any time. I'm just starting to get into Buffy and there are three whole seasons I havn't seen.

Also linked above in the Slashdot article is the fact that the Internet Archive I previously linked to are converting their entire collection to DivX. This is enormously good because I can't play the MPEG-2 movie I downloaded from them.

If a company started a service that let you choose episodes of TV shows, have them burned to a DVD and sent out, they'd make a mint. In less than a years time it will be too late. No-one but only the insane fan wants to buy a whole season of X-Files. They only want the good episodes. Is it really that hard? It'll never happen.

I've said this before.
