Ebay auction for the only Whitlams item I don't have other than their pointlesstogetbecauseIhaveallthetracks first single 'Met My Match'. It's newly listed at AUS$50. I know you Whitlams fans think you want it but you don't. It's terrible.

Jeff Mills  #

I'm off to see Jeff Mills tonight at the Chevron on St. Kilda Rd thanks to a birthday ticket from buddy and fellow band member Heath.

I've heard his music, and it's very minimal dark techno. Not incredibly interesting by itself.

But this DJ isn't Fatboy Slim with his lets play most of the track then fade into another crap. Jeff has 3 decks going and a drum machine and creates a new music experience from others and his own creations. At least, that's the blurb.

Heath has been desperate for me to see a 'real DJ' for a while. We'll see if I'm moved. Apparently the Chevron is a sweatbox. Oh yay. At least it's freezing today.

And the words "10pm to 8am" scare the shit out of me.

RIAA/Napster filtering songs RIAA doesn't own  #

Looks like Napster is complaining about having to filter songs that the RIAA doesn't even own. My guess would be non-RIAA record companies asking RIAA to add their songs to the list (like Australian record companies for instance).

But still, I couldn't have said it any better than The Null Device. Coke-snorting, whoremongering control freaks indeed.
