Complaint Of The Day  #

Everyone speeds and I hate it. I hate having to drive at 65-70kph in order to prevent someone crashing into the back of me should I stop suddenly thanks to their 'helpful hint tailgating'.

I'm sick of the idiotic comments that speed cameras and hiding them is just 'revenue generating' and not enforcing the law.

So, how about changing road laws back to a purely points based system. Speed and get caught, you have points deducted from your licence rather than a fine (just as it is with major road law infringments). Lose enough points and you lose your licence. No questions asked. Forced to complete the full Learner / Probation / Licence cycle again.

Hey, and while we're at it, improve the stupid licence laws and make the licence test a little less touch and go. How about mix the licence test and driving instruction into one. With drivers having to spend a week, or a month, or as much as they need, with a driving instructor until the instructor is happy with their driving skills?

Of course, we have a problem with today's suburban society. It is getting increasingly difficult to live without a car. So while we're at it, make public transport free, run all night and reduce working hours...

Or maybe I should just move to somewhere within walking distance to work? Or get a job in Glen Waverley?
