Yahoo news article on music sales figures, independant to the record companies (I think). World music sales dropped 1.3%, albums sales up 2.5%, USA industry value down 1.5% units down 4.7%, CD singles down 46% in the US, 14% globally... so it looks like people are finally snubbing the single and proving to the industry that we don't want to pay $10 for 1 song, or even for the b-sides but are still very happy (more so so than usual) to purchase full albums on CD.
