Well, I didn't win Triple J unearthed Melbourne, but it's hard when you don't actually send anything in. These guys were one of the winners. Mumonkan called themselves a cross between the Chemical Brothers and the Beastie Boys. They remind me more of newer Primal Scream. I like the beats in their Rock Pop Star track but I'm not so keen on the singing. Still, bagpipes rock.

Subject URL: Napster forces upgrade

Slashdot is freaking about Napster suddenly not allowing 'non native clients'. The point is that Napster is not allowing any connections except for it's 2.0 beta 10.3 client. That means any version of Napster except the most recent version. Whoever didn't see this coming way back when Napster said it was working on new file identification software and the pay-per-month model is a bit slow. RIP Napster.
