Today I discover Graham of Grudnuk creations (including VM) named his site (ie. Grudnuk) after an old IRC name too. realkosh is from my old IRC name in first year uni, way back in 1996. See da FAQ. And people think we put effort into these things.

Some random US band stole our band name! But we're registered at The Band Register and Bandname.com (check it). I feel kinda violated. How does one work out something like this? Most likely on who was released first under that name, in which case, we're screwed.... actually, their site doesn't have a real lot of info on when they started but it doesn't look like they've been around all that long. We released our first track on MP3.com.au mid 2000.

I'm not that stressed, it's just irritating because I love this name and we checked it all out at the time. But we can't complain too much because it's not like we've been out and out 'making a name for ourselves'.

Of course, there is a band called "The Truth" in the UK, and there was a band called "The Truth" in OZ. But they did changed their name to Truth, and the UK band may have been why. And then there is Biscuit who had to change their name thanks to a Limp band in the US. *snarl*

To top it off, we've been offered a gig at 9th Ward in the city and we can't do it because we don't have a band at the moment. Rob has offered to play bass for us as a once off but we'd rather do a gig as a proper band, not Heath and I "and the amazing Back-Up band".

I suppose we could do it acoustic...
