...is more popular than ever even after the end of Napster. Must try out this FastTrack - KaZaa. Audiogalaxy, LimeWire and WinMX refuse to work for me... oh except KaZaa seems to be the same tech as Morpheus which refused to work for me to. Maybe I need to stick with this a bit longer I must be missing something. Damn Optus and ZoneAlarm.

Fire  #

Big night for fires last night it seems. The Melbourne General Post Office (GPO) on the corner of Burke and Elizabeth street was "gutted". That truely does suck because I loved that building. I walked past it every day while working at Ericsson and have used it frequently. Update : Oops, Dave reminded me that they were going to gut the GPO anyway and turn it into a mall / motel. I remember seeing the permit signs. Bah!

And not even Eddie McGuire deserves to have their house burn down.

And for Christ's sake please stop blowing yourselves up!

A bunch of morons in the US want to make it illegal to build a computer (that's everything from the PC to a CD player) that doesn't implement their standard form of copyright protection, effectively holding the producers of such "machines" to ransom in the same way the DVD Forum does with region coding except with some ultra harsh penalties comparable to murder. ...a system where users can comment on auctions. Like for example this idiot saying that the Whitlams' Melbourne single is "very rare" when you can go to any store and order any Whitlams single (except Met My Match) for $8. And if that fails, buy that and other "rarities" from the official page online store. I supose you should all note on any eBay purchase, look in the obvious places first before bidding on something you could easily get elsewhere.

When feelings of insanity persist, take annual leave. I'm organising mine now.

Week End  #

I wrote a new song. The creativity is flowing at the moment. Feels awesome. I learnt bass for Lucy + Glory jamming with Bruce getting ready to record in October. Katie + I drove randomly around Melbourne starting at Camberwell and took turns guessing left or right until we hit the beach. Turned left, ended up having fish and chips on the beach at Parkville. So relaxing...
