Hollywood Films on Terrorism Held Up After Attacks. Arnold Schwarzenegger's new movie (Collateral Damage) has been yanked as have ads for Spiderman (where a helicoper is caught in a web between the two WTC towers). Replays of "Independance Day" (where New York is graphically destroyed by the aliens) and the "X-Files" movie (which opens with a spetacular Oklaholma style bombing of a building) have been cancelled.

Attacks Force Entertainment Shutdown. All the major studios have shut down and told everyone to go home. Disneyland is shut as have all the Disney stores in America. The Emmy Awards have been cancelled indefinitely.
The end of Men In Black 2 was to involve the World Trade Center. It now must be changed.
I wonder who will get the movie / TV movie rights to this? It seems pretty sick to me at the moment but they made a telemovie of the SF earthquake. The SF earthquake shocked me but nothing like this. Why? Because that was an accident and there was nothing anyone could have done. It isn't preventable. This was a deliberate attack that killed thousands, and I saw it all live as it happened. It feels preventable. It feels so wrong that it was allowed to happen.
Nothing makes me sicker than to be nervous, and right now I'm about as nervous as you can get...
Moby lives in New York and witnessed everything. This has to be one of the most covered events in history. The net is covered in photos, accounts, messages from millions of people. The power of communication. We feel so much more for everyone because we hear so much more of what they have to say.
The Men In Black 2 thing hits most home to some of the stuff I've been thinking about recently. I first remembered the Simpsons episode where Homer finds his car packed between the two World Trade Center buildings (as did Dave and most of my friends, all independently). Those buildings WERE New York's skyline. They must be in thousands of movies, involved in thousands of plotlines. Many movies now have to be rewritten or dumped because of the assumption that the World Trade Center towers would always be there. And now they're gone along with thousands of lives.
Everyone is looking for blame and revenge but I have no hate, I'm not looking for blame, I have no desire for revenge. For some reason none of that matters to me right now. I can only think of what happened, I don't care why. It shouldn't have happened. I only want that it should never happen again.
This may still be the shock, the fear, the unending urge to flee with the horrible knowledge that nowhere feels safe. I may never fly again. I have no words to describe how I feel.
