Tomahawk plays Melbourne  #

Subject URL: Tomahawk plays Melbourne

InPress (local free street music newspaper) informs me that Tomahawk will be playing The Palace in Melbourne on Tuesday (argh!) 5th February. No other info on other dates, and none mentioned on the Ipecac site.

And today I am officially changing the spelling of February to Febuary. Of course if I do that I'll be hypocritical to not change the spelling of Wednesday to Wensday. But I won't. Education has ruined the advancement of Australian english spelling. Damn it all to hell.

Top 10 Albums Andrew discovered in 2001  #

I am completely unqualified to pretend to make up a list of my top ten albums released this year. It's pointless. It would be a list of the ten albums from this year I bought that didn't suck. A lot of the time I buy an album by an artist because of the artist on pure faith, or on a recomendation by a friend (or reviewer I respect) or even on a single track (although rarely) and often from a few downloaded MP3s. Often I'm already pretty sure I'm going to like an album before I buy it. To judge this list of CDs is restrictive and pointless overall.

So I'm going to make a list of top ten favourite albums that I discovered this year. They'll obviously skew toward albums released this year (R.E.M.'s Reveal, Regurgitator's Ed&Rod) but will stretch to old albums I discovered this year like R.E.M's Automatic For The People.

Yes.
