A lot of bloggers are talking about new years resolutions. I looked into my blog last year and couldn't find any immediately obvious lists of resolutions so I can't say if I broke any.

I'd make some for this year but I could tell you in one line:

More of the same please.

If I could go back in time I would say that on Dec 31 2000 I resolved to during the year 2001:

• Record a CD with my band.
• Get a new job, one that pays well, has loads of interesting work and the potential for career enhancement.
• Continue my loving relationship.
• Read more.
• Spend more time creating music and less time absorbing crap and making crap.

I managed all those last year except I quite often spend more time absorbing (reading crap on the net) and making crap instead of writing more music. For example, today I blogged (most of which was thrown out) instead of setting up my room for easier music production (setting up my electric guitar for ease of recording, at the moment it's a pain to set up and play, so I don't).

So I'll stop.

I discovered how to apostrophize my SMS messages. It's easy to say "don't" if you really want it. It's easy to ? and ! and any other wacky symbol you want too. I'd still like to see "dont" and "wont" enter the vocab of teens around the world...
