Historian  #

If I wasn't an "IT Consultant" I'd like to have been an historian. I love information. I dispair when facts/images/sounds disappear, never to be seen again, even if they sucked, or weren't very interesting. I used to collect Faith No More. I still have a large collection of live recordings. I still run Preshrunk.net, a massive collection of Pre_Shrunk gig dates, photos and setlists. I love the fact that it's possible to know what Pre_Shrunk played at the Punters Club in 1998 and see photos from the gig. I dispair that so much info is missing from the early days.

I'm so egotistical that I collect myself. I have masses of old tapes and CDrs of MP3s from the multitude of Walken gigs and jams from the past. I will always keep these. They will not be lost to "history". I plan to keep the Walken site as a historic resource for the band, even if we don't do well, even if everyone hates us. Just like Weezer are doing. This is the kind of stupidly informy webpage I like. I like to know that Weezer's guitarist and vox guy used to play a piece o' crap guitar, and wow, there is a photo of it. It's what the web should be for... bands with a bit of flash and an ad for their current (old) CD suck. It's usually fans that have to fill in the gaps. Not Weezer. Weezer appear to be fans of themselves. That is where a band should be.
