Quan doesn't appear to be wearing glasses anymore. Freak.

More photos of the Big Day Out at ChannelV.com.au as well as all the other web crap.

Subject URL: Hottest 100

I can't find a full list, but the link above will have it in a day or so.

Here's the top 10 and a comparison of this years Top 10 to 1997 and 1996 hottest 100s.

Lame. I think I am finally in a new generation. One that doesn't understand the one below him. There was a time (97/96) when I loved Triple J and everything they played was great. Now it's mostly crap... bring back Nirvana. Use the pet cemetary if you have to.

Alex Lloyd? Has everyone caught the Oddarsey #5 bug? Powderfinger does a boring sub-pah version of their old stuff (which I did like)and everyone LOOOOOOOVEs it. Alex Lloyd played crapper than his last album (which I did like) and he's a genie-arse. Stories of people singing "Amazing" so loud you can't hear Lloydy at the Big Day Out (or wherever) sound like lies to me. Like they can't possibly be true. Like someone is pulling my music leg? Tug tug?

Something For Kate's Monsters is alright if you can get past the screams of agony. He doesn't talk like that does he? "ooooh, can I have a litre of millllkkkk ohhhhH!". "Dude, are you like, alright?". "OOOHHHHH MILLLLK! Give it tooo meee. erghhh". Affectionately called "Something To Hate" by rib-an-artist fans.

System (Of A Down) rule (but I can see the brain meats dribbling out of my head when I listen, I'm fifteen again.) Weezer rule, full stop. Basement Jaxx suck, but "Where's Your Head At" rules, if only for the monkies. Avalanches... I really must get that album, but from the listens I've had, it seems weird to take songs out of context, it's like an hour mix set or something, not really solid radio single songs. Gorillaz only good song is good.

And Cake. Well...

In other news, my girlfriend is at the Big Day Out and I'm not. I wanted to see Regurgitator, their last show for probably a year. I wanted to see System (Of A Down) but I knew I'd have to climb over piles of dead 15 year olds to get close enough and I didn't want to get my shoes dirty (oops, my overly harsh alarm just went off, auto apology sent). The other bands sounded interesting but not enough to pay $100 for. Like silverchair and Magic Dirt and sonicanimation and prodigy and garbage and new order. Will be watching the fun on Channel V at a friends place... but you probably know that already.
