Listening to an old tape I recorded off Triple J back in 1996 (Paw Live At The Wireless if you're interested). I recorded it on a record player / tape deck combination I bought from $10 at the time. And it sounds perfect. Where is this record player now? I don't know but I want it back. The tape is a Type I (ie. damn cheap) too. It's very bizare. Other tapes recorded around the same time are dead now. I think it has everything with the recording volume. Pumped up nice and high. Haven't tried out the radio reception at the new place yet.
