VIC Election  #

Hey, election fun again. I can't believe the promises they're pulling out of their "let's get votes from stupid people" box. Abolish Zone 3? What? So Zone 2 and 1 can go up to compensate? Remove stamp-duty on houses for new home buyers? What? So the price of houses goes up another 10%? Oh yay. Gimmicks gimmicks gimmicks. And the blame games, blame the government in power for stuff that would have happened anyway, like drought and a crap economy. Argh. How about a promise to have fixed four-year terms in Victoria? I'd vote for that. Hey, how about a big heap of referendums like they do every US election? Awesome...

Crazy old-man-on-train-rant mode off...

What is it? Who cares...

You know, they're wasting their time with movies... why don't they let people buy TV shows. I could tell you twenty people who'd like to watch Season 4 'Angel' now and not next year when Channel 7 gets around to showing it in Australia.

Although... how much would they charge? To download 450Meg (about 45 mins at SVCD) already costs us $13.50 ($60/2Gig limit * 450Meg) or $6 if you're on a 6Gig plan (prices from ADSL iiNet).
