If Microsoft - or any other computer company - drops support for any product, it should immediately lose copyright protection and be forced to place the code in the public domain.
I extend that further and say if any record company deletes a CD so that it is no longer possible to purchase the music, it could lose the copyright.
Further thinking for longer than four seconds sees problems with this... such as the fact the only way most artists can keep a CD out for sale is through the record company and they often have no choise as to when a CD is deleted. But the concept has merit.
Rumour is the gig will be recorded by Channel 31 and broadcast at a later date. I hope so, even just to get a soundboard recording of us.
Attempting some demos on Sunday. We're doing the "hire stuff and do it at home" option which is far cheaper than $400 a day in a shite studio. We can sound shite at home for a 7th of the price thank you very much and be a lot more relaxed while we're at it. Must remember to buy beer.
Fans wondering what songs we're doing (hi Dave)? We're doing all of them... then we wank on them for months and decide which are the best, then do a X track EP "early next year". That's the plan.
I have a memory of Dave asking me my plans for this year, and I remember something along the lines of "gig my band by mid year, record something else by December". So we're going to be behind on the recording, but that's because we're aiming for something bigger (and more expensive). We'll see...
