Dave wrote in Jan:

Andrew Bowie and Heath Smith are the core of pop band Walken. Andrew plays guitar and Heath sings, though they both have a variety of other competancies. They've just finished work on their first professionally-produced studio single of two songs, Glory (Misunderstood) and Lucy. This year they'll be looking at stabilising the band's lineup, getting gigs, getting airplay. Generally making a name for themselves.

"stabilising the band's lineup" - Done, we gained a drummer and we're darn happy with him. Hi Leigh, you rule.

"Getting gigs" - Done.

"getting airlplay" - Done? Big rumours going around that Triple J have played us but this sort of thing is hard to confirm unless you are on the permanent playlist.

"Generally making a name for themselves"... we are WALKEN hear us roarrrk!

This day two years ago I ranted heaps about various stuff... silverchair's unauthorised Sony best-of, portable broadband music streaming devices (drool), RadioFreeVirgin, They Might Be Giants (NO!), "My usage of Napster has increased", BMG buys Liquid Audio, MP3 id service and APRA's plans to charge royalties for internet streaming.
