I started work for a company in March 1999... by 2000 they outsourced my department. I quit and went to work for another company. In 6 months the part of company I worked for went from 16 people to 2. Eventually I was moved from that department to the web development department. By August 2001 they sold the web development department to ANOTHER company. I didn't like this new company so I quit and went to work for a multinational IT company that had just been purchased. A year later... my company is being merged again.

In four years working in IT I will have worked for five seperate companies and have had contact with almost ten different potential buyers / outsourcers.

Is this normal?
