If you ever get the chance to just not work for a long period of time, I *highly* recommend it. But don't do it for too long, otherwise you'll never be able to face full-time work again.
Friend Dave recently did something similar... although just chillin' wasn't his plan, and he's now looking for work. It's the big plan in life isn't? Lots of people want millions of dollars so they can buy stuff they want. I want it so I can just chill and do whatever I want (mainly music and travel). This isn't that unusual I'm sure.
Been sniffing at a trip to London in October next year (2003) with a stop off in the US. Looking mighty expensive... looking a little unlikely. Maybe no stop over... but London by itself doesn't interest me (although it is highly recommended by friends). I'm more of a scenery person... maybe I should visit New Zealand and be done with it. But my parents are in London (remembering the point of the trip)...
New computer time. I've said it before but this time I mean it. Video capture card of doom, speedy CD writer, finally killing off my oldskool external SCSI 4 speed... all the toys my current computer sort of does OK but not very well. Turn the old computer into a Win2k/SQL Server/.NET machine for learnin' on. Expect lots of WALKEN SVCDs to start floating around.
Um... yeah. Stuff. Just need to find time. But I've realised I'm just chilling and wasting time on the computer at the moment, so it's time to kill it and start again (that's right kids, the big format). Backup and bootdisk testing tonight. Might even do the actual format if I'm feeling insane enough. Kill it... kill it!
