Real Networks are set to provide movies for download and viewing under a package similar to cable TV. The movies will be available to watch for as long as they are showing on cable (which is typically a few weeks). Much better plan than 24 hours offered by recent plans. This Real plan is likely to be US only again.

Anyway, this is a step in the right direction but I can't understand their obsession with movies. People (me) want TV shows and they want them before free-to-air gets them.

I could name ten people in my office who'd pay for good quality downloads of Season 2 of "24", especially if it was only $10 a month as indicated by the article.

The $40Aus a month it would cost to get Foxtel would look a hell of a lot better if I could download and watch at any time, any of their stuff while it was being shown. Damn nice indeed.

And by the way, I believe I contributed to this... Sorry. The last few tracks of Robbie's latest are really quit good. "Me And My Monkey" is brilliant.
