New computer is ordered. Pick it up on Saturday. There is a US hub in the monitor and in the keyboard and in the front of the box. I could jab randomly with the plug and probably connect to something.

Except I wanted to turn USB off. The guy in the shop looked shocked but I told him it was because typically Windows shares the USB IRQ sharing with the soundcard and there ain't much you can do about it but turn it off. IRQ sharing with the soundcard is a big deal because the soundcard needs all the bandwidth it can get and any interuption typically sends a spike of static through your guitar solo.
