Matrix Reloaded  #

Finally saw it yesterday. If you're one of those people who don't like spoilers I wouldn't read this post. If you're one of those people who can't stop your self reading without the text being all white or hidden in another link, stiff shit.

Yes, Matrix Reloaded. I've read some pretty damn harsh reviews today. I don't completely agree...

Firstly, the music was terrible. I don't know if it was badly mixed but the whole film it was in my face trying to tell me how to feel and it pissed me off. "Look, Morpheus is being inspiring!". "Look, this is a big revelation! Say MY GOD!" "Aw they're in love". "This is the fight music. They're fighting. It's exciting. This music isn't as good as Spybreak is it? No..." I'm not saying every film doesn't do this but still. I noticed. I shouldn't have noticed.

And I'm a little disappointed in the overall idea of the film. Turns out (maybe) that it's all a giant rip off of The Thirteeth Floor... but with superheros. But maybe I'm reading it wrong. I don't think so.

The preview of the third film (and the end of the second) didn't really support my idea though. But then it wouldn't would it?

I didn't hate it. Dispite what most people tend to be saying I thought a lot of the action sequences were pretty good. The fights don't do it for me, but exploding trucks and car chases do. I particularly liked it when suddenly the action would stop and they'd talk plot vagueness for ten minutes. You could hear the boredom, the shifting butts on seats. It was great.

...

Jamming this arvo. Not really in the mood. I want to record now, redo the guitar for a couple of tracks. But technically I should be cleaning the shower. Ergh.
