Report from the Indie meeting for Apple's iTunes service [GnutellaNews] (via ScriptingNews), with lots of stats on the service.

Exclusive tracks (songs that aren't available on CD anywhere) sell amazingly well. They're the best sellers in whole store.

Bought and watched the Animatrix yesterday. Some of it is a bit wonky but some of it is fantastic. I particularly enjoyed The Second Renaissance's and Beyond. Final Flight Of The Orirus suffered all the usual problems trying-to-look-real CGI does. DVD was sold out everywhere except massively overpriced Sanity and HMV. I went for the $5 cheaper HMV, and got a massive poxy Matrix poster for my troubles.

Also bought the new Metallica CD yesterday. Had a listenish last night but I was drunk and tired so I can't really say anything based on that other than "it's shit". But that isn't very helpful is it? I proper review later. And finally Kill 'Em All is under $20 at JB. Good things come from new Metallica albums.

The new Weird Al album (Poodle Hat) is amusing in places. The Complicated Song (tis an Avril parody) is good as is the Angry White Boy Polka, although we've decided his Eminem parody really only points out how excellent a rapper Eminem really is.

Bought Radiohead's Hail To The Thief. Am loving it. I may get over it.

Heath finished off some basic vocals for four songs last night. I'm all enthused to finish off my guitar parts now and do some mixing. After this I think we're going to start gigging a bit harder again rather than do more demos... maybe. Choices. At the least we'll have our 7 track demo done in a couple of weeks.

Work at my current project is winding down although there is still a fair bit to do. Looks like I do have something to do after July 4th... more Microsoft Content Management Server stuff. At least it's work. Although the thought of sitting around at home recording all day makes me quiver with happiness.
