Unmarked Helicopters  #

Man shot in his car near Chadstone. This isn't that far from my place. I heard the helicopters go over. Although we're in a helicopter flight path so I thought nothing of it. There is a Red Rooster across the road from the photo in the article. Not sure why I'm mentioning it, I mean, someone was assulted on the corner of my street a few weeks ago (it was that guy with the evil looking mole) and I didn't mention that.

Tripod's song-in-an-hour on Triple J this morning about Rusty Crow's new bub was very amusing.

CueCat (modified) arrived today. My faith in eBay increases. Finally got it working (I plugged it into the mouse port. I am stupid.) CueCat's are excellent. Scanning barcodes is a breeze. Had a play with DVD Profiler which looks up DVD data via barcodes and Readerware which does a similar thing for Books, CDs and DVDs. Didn't have much luck looking up data for the CDs I tried but they were all singles so I didn't really expect it to work. Will probably catalog my books now just because I can do it in ten minutes. I know, it's a useless toy but it's fun. And it was less than $20.

My internet provider has been a bit flakey lately. Went down last night again, although they put the blame on Telstra. I have a friend on Telstra who has problems at similar times to me so I believe them. My provider did just up their download limit from 6Gb to 10Gb so I'm not going to complain. They're mostly excellent.
