Friday, my first day of freedom... I drove my girlfriend to work, then drove to Chapel street. Had lunch in Revolver, while listening to our music and writing lyrics. Had a beer. They didn't have Coopers but as usual, their food was fantastic.

Walked up and down Chapel street, looking in second hand stores. Lots of distortion pedals and guitars in the pawn shops, must be a bad time of year for guitarists. Checked out some second hand CDs and JB HiFi. Bought Guns'n'Roses' Appetite for Destruction with David Bowie's Hours and the new Alchemist CD Austral Alien. The new Alchemist is good, better than their last two, but that could be my mood. Hours is pretty dull, the low point between Heathen and Earthling, but again... the mood? Appetite for Destruction hasn't changed.

Finally found Comics R Us and checked them out. New Transformers 6 comic series looks nice but I'll wait for the collection rather than buy seperately. Was to buy a Zim or Squee t-shirt for my girlfriends birthday but they were all Large.

Spent today recording backing vocals and shakers / tamb. for Free Ride and making up a solo. Also working on new part for Blue Sky and polishing up other bits. Still no bass for Away darn it but new vocals are ready for cutting up. Takes so damn long! Heath thinking of buying all the gear needed for recording so he can do it any time (including the soundcard).

Off to dinner.
