Australia Post Office cheapy DVD reviewage part 1!
Worst movie ever? Paranoid (aka Frightmare). I believe it was done by some film students, then it might be ok, in a Blair Witch kind of way (which wasn't OK so bad example)... um.. yeah... funny though... Music was good though. Rob Albertson. Wonder if he's the same Rob Albertson that reviewed my most wanted piece of recording hardware, the M Audio Delta 1010?
Bowery At Midnight (1942) (with Bela Lugosi) is worth seeing though, if only for the fact it never really explains what is going on.
Having Tuesdays and Thursdays off is like every work day being a Friday. No matter how bad the day is, you've always got a day off the next day...
From Tenacious D website / email (in stores in US on October 21st):
This highly provocative DVD contains:- the legendary and epic recital at London's Brixton Academy that was by chance recorded on November 3, 2002 - tracks include Wonderboy, Explosivo, Kyle Quit The Band, Friendship, Kielbasa, Dio, The Cosmic Shame, Fuck Her Gently, Tribute and the ever popular Live Short Films that have been screened during The D's shows.
- The groundbreaking, hard to get (legally), HBO episodes which tell tale of The D in their early days on the road to stardom.
- But that's not all! A bonus second disc will be gifted to the first twelve million loyal Tenacious D apostles who purchase this D-VD. This second disc includes an intimate portrait of Jack and Kyle and their life of carnal debauchery on the road. Lucky owners of the DVD will catch rare and gruesome behind the scenes glimpses of the making of the Tribute & Wonderboy videos as well as never before seen footage of The D as they perform their secret backstage rituals.
Stay tuned for details on when & where you can get it....
/me gets credit card and travels to Amazon.com...
