Video for Johnny Cash's cover of NIN's Hurt. Brilliant. Thanks for pushing me on to this Damien.

Zim is on DVD. Well, "Nightmare Begins" is anyway. It's only available at Walmart (do all your shopping... AT WALMART!) and it comes with a bunch of other crap. I feel like I should buy it so the stupid marketing people think that a Zim DVD boxset will sell. But of course this won't sell. I'm not paying US$15 for one episode and neither would anyone else. Put out a boxset!

Short film set in Matrix universe before the first movie. Full points for putting the whole thing on line for free. I first thought this was a remake but is infact a 16ish minute short film made with professional actors for nothing in New Zealand.

I havn't watched it all yet, just snippets. It's at least well made and has funky music.

The Fanimatrix" is a fan-made, zero-budget short film set within the Matrix universe, specifically shortly before the discovery of "The One" (i.e. the first "Matrix" feature film). It tells the story of two rebels - Dante and Medusa - and of their fateful mission onto the virtual reality prison world that is The Matrix

I thought yesterday in response to my own rant on how abolishing copyright might cause problems for struggling musicians... I suppose it could easily be possible to abolish copyright, or shorten it greatly (to say 15 years) but still have plagiarism. Strengthen any plagiarism laws (are there any that arn't connected to copyright?) so pretending a word of music is your own, ensure that all due credit is fully recorded by law. Problem solved?

Not I suppose if band X's cover version of your song makes them millions but you nothing. That's the market. That's jealousy.

Slept and cleaned today. Slept yesterday. Saw the Corner Choir perform and played with my recording equipment. CDrs soon. Drank some beer. Feel asleep. Woke up. Drove home. Missed Ethan DJ.

Brisbane won the footy, kicking Collingwood's ass for the second time in a row. I expect the city to be rubble when I get in tomorrow. I love seeing interstate teams win but I'm with Dave on this one... it's such a pity to see the same team win three years in a row. It's boring.
