Ween give away their live concerts. Ween are cool.
I heard what I swear was a new Pre_Shrunk song on Triple J today, but there is no mention of a radio release on their website and I missed the back anouncement. It was like a more dancey (that is, more "drum and bass") Pre_Shrunk. Although anyone with some solid bass, vocoder vocals and a beat could sound like Pre_Shrunk if they tried...
With the recent drop in CD prices in the UK to 8.99 it only costs around $22 Australian to buy a new release CD from the UK including postage (see CDWow). Same goes for some DVD. Unless a CD comes with a bonus CD of ultra rare carnage I'm definitely not spending more than $20.
Apocalyptica's latest is a single release of a Rammstein cover Seemann with German "punk Diva" Nina Hagen. It's out (in Germany) on the 6th October.
I guess the MP3 demo release (Turquoise) VAST worked enough to do it again. Another 10 tracks (Crimson) that might end up on the third VAST album have been released in MP3 for $2.95 PayPal purchase and download. I assume we'll get another 10 and then after getting lots of free feedback from paying fans we'll get an album of the best stuff. I Woke Up In LA from the last set was excellent. Pitty about the badly encoded 128kbps files though.
Went to the dentist this arvo. Katie, who is always telling me that I never brush my teeth properly, had six holes and some fisure fillings. I had a clean bill of health after a much needed clean and stain removal. I feel bad. My whole trip was paid for by insurance. She has just handed over a weeks pay and has to go back for three more fillings next Tuesday.
