Band vs. Technology  #

Pre_Shrunk are posting a mobile phone video message (mp4 viewable in Quicktime 6) to their website every day during their tour with Machine Gun Fellatio. Day one, tour car vs. kangaroo. Nice use of tech to talk to the fans.

Postage!  #

After struggling (with much help from Babelfish through the forced registration of Amazon.de just to see the cost of sending my 15 Euro worth of CDs to Australia... 14 EURO! For one CD. Stuff that... Out of interest I added another CD. 28 Euro for two CDs. That my friend, it's insane. A total for $43.68 to get one CD.

Out of interest I'm trying to get Apocalyptica's "Reflections (Revised)" which includes a DVD of the new videos and lots of rare CD bonus tracks. It's only 14.95 Euro (Aus$24ish) but I can't seem to get it here to Australia without morgaging my house.

Clone Wars bastards  #

Really good on Cartoon Network for putting the new Clone Wars series on the net for all to watch... oops, not all, only those in the US. I just tried to watch it and...

"We're sorry, but this content is viewable only to those within the United States."

Yeah... well... see how pirated this tv show gets now.

ALL OF Zim on DVD  #
Wednesday, 12 Nov 2003 08:48PM
It's official! 3 double disc sets and a limited edition boxed set of Zim episodes coming in Spring 2004 thanks to AnimeWorks.

And I thought it was wishful thinking when I noticed most of the Invader Zim DVD/VCD sets had been removed from eBay.

No comments at all in the press release on whether it will include all of the unaired season 2 episodes.

Walken update  #

Walken support Dogs Breakfast at St Kilda Inn, 109 Barkly St, St Kilda on Saturday 29th Nov 2003 9pm. We'll most likely be acoustic with Bruce providing drums. Should be fun, will play some alternative versions of songs to fit Bruce's drumming style and hopefully some ultra old songs.

We're also playing at Revolver (welcome back Leigh on drums after a month off and 1 or 2 practices to get back to speed) on the 3rd December (Wednesday) with Meebar and others. The Laundry gig on Boxing Day night most likely won't happen.

Looking like we'll have a lot of gigs in Jan '04 at Evelyn, Armadale, Duke Of Windsor + others.

Heard demos for Lego, Hitman and Pick Me Last. All sounding good. Backing vox needed from Daniel on Lego and Hitman and bass parts need fixing. Pick Me Last pretty much done.

Hoping to get some new MP3s up on the site soon, probably some live stuff.
