Photos of Walken  #

Many many photos of Walken's time in the studio @ Hothouse in St. Kilda in Feb 2004 thanks to Kenn and me.

My new photo gallery is done, I'm just in beta testing and being lame, waiting to scan a bunch more photos before I put it live, to (possibly) replace my photoblog. A photoblog would definitely be much easier with a digital camera...

Finally bought a DVD burner. Question of the day, do I redo all of the VCDs I have created of the band's old shows? Probably not. Why? I experimented with a few videos and discovered that the highest quality DVD (8000kbps, 700ish lines of rez) isn't much better quality than highest quality xVCD (300ish lines of rez, 2800kbps), mostly due to the effects of deInterlacing the VHS image. Advantages of DVD are that it'll hold around an hour+ of excellent quality vs. half an hour on xVCD. DVD is a little clearer / sharper but given the quality of your average live image it's no big deal. DVDs take much longer to compress too.

Hmm... Be nice to fit the longer gigs on one disc.

Blah. At the moment I'm helping people keep their memories. Ultrasound videos etc.
