My Dream Theater CDs finally arrived from their "offical bootleg" release label. I purchased their performance of Metallica's Master Of Puppets and a Making Of CD for the Scenes From A Memory CD. I've yet to listen to either however the brief sample I've listened to of the Metallica set says the following...

• It's better played than any Metallica live set.
• The Dream Theater singer really doesn't suit this album.

I'm treating it as a chance to hear my favourite Metallica album live without crying.

The Making Of CD is a set of alternative versions of the album and many samples of jamming in the studio, which as a guitarist I hope I find interesting. Many reviews I've read have indicated this CD set is quite dull as they don't present songs but just ideas. I like ideas.
