Pain  #

Did something nasty to my knee before the jam at Revolver on Friday. Bent down to plug in the PA and my knee gave out with a horrible crunch. I dropped to the floor, screamed a little, Leigh offered me a chip (thanks guys for the help you bastards), and then the pain subsided and it was almost OK again. I applied ice and all that jazz. Got home and put on my old knee brace and I've hobbling around every since. Pretty sure it'll be ok. No bizare floating gushy bits.

Band recorded some parts for our first promo video today. It's going to be... wacky. Long while off yet. Also met a really nice guy who's involved in a DVD project for the Meredith Music Festival. Sounds like it's going to be ace. I really want to see some of the footage he's been shifting through. We bitched for a while about people who claim to be professionals with computers but have never done what you want them to do.

You're doing it all wrong  #

At least I've only just started making DVDs and have only burned two, but every VCD/SVCD I've ever made was done wrong...

Instructions to get the best quality DVD source out of TMPGEnc.

That isn't so bad... but this is...

Do not deinterlace! If you don't deinterlace it looks like rubbish on the computer but looks fine (and much better than if you'd deinterlaced it) if you play it in proper DVD playing software or on the TV.

Damn damn damn. Oh well. I'd been planning on redoing all of the important stuff to DVD away. It's not like I've WATCHED anything I've converted to VCD anyway.
