It's what people have been asking for...  #

BMG plans to release 3 versions of each CD album they release in Europe [rocknerd]. A "cheapo" version that is little more than a CDr (no booklet etc.) for 10 Euros, up to a deluxe version for 18 Euros.

I guess they've chosen the "9.99" to match the download price of an album. People (insanely) seem to be happy paying that. Maybe this idea will take off.

I'm interested to know the sales figures between the deluxe and crap versions. I'm also interested to compare the figures between the DVD packaging version and CD packaging version of recently live releases we've had here in Australia (Midnight Oil for example, Silverchair).

Fred drew our name...  #

A big part of me thinks that playing the Espy on Friday is just another gig, mildly annoying being on so late. The Espy has such a huge "wow" factor with most people but it's hard for me to see. I like the Gershwin room but the Front Bar and Public Bar seem little better than anywhere else we play.

But it hit home today when I saw the Espy gig ad for this week. Fred drew our name ;p

I'm also told that the Public Bar blew up our poster to a giant wall sized poster. I'm a little terrified by that.

Gig is on THIS Friday. Be there and buy the CD.

Interview with Beat magazine went well on Sunday. I have to come up with a diplomatic version of the origin of "Lego Woman". The version I've been spouting isn't 100% true. "Inspired by" and "about" are two different concepts. Now "Right Again", that is harsh and I don't mind saying so. *cough*

Beat interviewer hung around for practice and got to see our whole set plus a few extra songs. Lots of clubbers from Revolver Upstairs who'd be going all night next door screaming their sarcastic approval through the chain link door. ;p
