Discovered a few CDs I had burnt for a friend today of some demos of my band (when it was just Heath and I) in 2000. Seems this CD is the only uncompressed copy of these songs. If I had not burnt this CD for a friend I would only have MP3s of these songs.

The last few months I have been trying to archive some music, trying to find uncompressed and non-MP3 sourced versions of songs. I found this page, which explains how to detect if a piece of audio is MP3 sourced, to be very useful. The article suggests you use Exact Audio Copy for frequency analysis but I found Cool Edit Pro does just a good job.
