"WALKEN" were number 1 on SYN FM's Hoist tonight for "Blue Sky". They rang up Daniel our bass player for a bit of a chat. Thanks to everyone that voted. Now buy the CD! ;p

Gig  #

The gig last night was a pleasure. Watching Ten Penny Joke solidified my opinion of them nicely. Fantastic musicians, very tight and some excellent songs. Their style fluctuates but stays hangs mostly around pop-metal. Unfortunately the sound at the Green Room didn't suit them as well as the Armadale's Back Room and I often had to strain to hear the solos, although that had a lot to do with where I was sitting.

Shoot The Genie were great although seemed a little tired. Kirsty (lead singer) had ever reason to be upset. Her funky sparkly green Gibson Epiphone guitar (complete with powerpuff girls sticker) was recently stolen (if you see it being sold, let them know). Again the sound at the Green Room muffled their sound a little. Their new guitarist is settling nicely and seemed a lot more confident this time around. I wonder how much the rest of the band try to reign in his guitar soloing?

Massive thanks to Claire for lending Daniel her bass for the set.

Our set was fun and long. Our last gig for a while. Blissfully happy we could play REALLY LOUD for once I jumped around and stuffed about a bit. Much of the crowd had left by the time we started (it was almost midnight on a Thursday) but about 25 people stuck it out. Thanks everyone.

I'm heading off to see Look Who's Toxic tonight supporting SPOD @ The Evelyn. I plan to leave before SPOD...
