Our set was fun, I'm not qualified to tell you if it was any good or not. I know I made a few mistakes but hardly anyone cares about that. And our play-everything-at-double-speed practice may have rubbed off a little, everything was played just a little bit too fast... hey, shut up, who cares, it was good ok? And I finally got to jump off a stage at the end of the set. Cross that one off the list.
Meebar were brilliant. Excellent mix, masses of rock moves. I've also been enjoying their new CD, "Nine Months Later". Go and buy it. Should hopefully be hearing more of that soon on your local free-to-air music promotional tool.
I skipped out on The Vasco Era, sorry guys. I watched Sydonia but nothing really sank in. I guess I was tired. They sounded pretty good from what I remember. I'm told they're usually heavier.
The temporary Espy Gershwin room band room is fun. Up some scaffolding stars, across some wooden planks, through some ancient rooms and there you are at your fridge and couches. No hope of storing gear in there but nice and quiet to get away from the crowds.
Interviews and songs from the night will be on Asylum on Channel 31 (Melbourne) some time in the future.
Now the band takes a break. That should be interesting... More on that in the coming months.
