I started this thought with "I didn't do anything this year" but a tiny five seconds of actual thought blows my mind:

• Katie and I got engaged (to each other!)
• We promised to buy a house (settlement next year)
• I spent countless hours wasting my life in front of the computer playing the format conversion / digitizing game
• I finally got that bloody raise I've wanted for 3 years
• Travelled to Queensland and visited the worlds
• My band did lots of gigs, recorded and released an EP and were interviewed (and played live) on radio
• Blogged a lot, then stopped, then started again, sorta...
• Took a million photographs of animals...
• Got over a big RSI/OOS scare
• Got interested in and watched many old movies again, thanks to Andrew
• Started looking forward to comics again, thanks to Dave
• Realised my massive range of music taste is still so very narrow, thanks to Dave and AJ
