I never believed the rumours, but I guess I should have.

After years of paying top dollar for low quality bootlegs, Tori Amos diehards now have an alternative. Six live bootleg recordings are set to be released this fall. The first two releases are scheduled for an August 30th release, with four more due this fall. All six discs will be available exclusively at www.toriamosbootlegs.com.

Samples on the webpage sound pretty damn good. It'll be nice to hear a 2005 Tori show without the first ten bars being drowned out by dickheads screaming.

Your name in a book? For charity?  #

Get you name in the next book by any of Michael Chabon, Amy Tan, Peter Straub, Andrew Sean Greer, Karen Joy Fowler, Stephen King, Lemony Snicket, Dorothy Allison, Jonathan Lethem, Ayelet Waldman, John Grisham, Nora Roberts, Neil Gaiman, Dave Eggers, Rick Moody, ZZ Packer.

Stephen is offering:

One (and only one) character name in a novel called CELL, which is now in work and which will appear in either 2006 or 2007. Buyer should be aware that CELL is a violent piece of work, which comes complete with zombies set in motion by bad cell phone signals that destroy the human brain. Like cheap whiskey, it's very nasty and extremely satisfying. Character can be male or female, but a buyer who wants to die must in this case be female. In any case, I'll require physical description of auction winner, including any nickname (can be made up, I don't give a rip).

The idea of being in an ultra violent Stephen King zombie book really appeals to me. There is no way I'd ever pay enough to get it though. Maybe if I win lotto in the next month.
