I'd love to compare these with iTunes Australia's numbers.
A sticking point between the two parties was Sony's concerns over the structure of the site's pricing. iTunes charges just one price, $1.69, for all individual tracks, whereas competitors such as Bigpond offer songs from 99 cents.Sony BMG was also unhappy that the files sold on iTunes are not compatible with MP3 players manufactured by its parent company.
Somehow I find that really funny. Really really really funny. Quit bringing out deliberately locked down hardware Sony and I might cry for you.
I will have to jump on iTunes (shudder) and rerun the searches for all of those songs I couldn't find last time.
