I'm long sighted (so I can't read without my glasses but can see distant objects) and have a lazy eye. I can walk around without my glasses but it hurts.
Anyway, on Sunday night my glasses broke. The frame snapped for some reason and my left lens (my good eye) came out. I went to work without glasses on, for the first time ever in my life, and popped in to OPSM to get them soldered. $25 later, all fixed.
They broke again today. My optometrist shuts at one, but my dad-in-common-law very kindly drove me down anyway and we visted three different optometrists in the hope they could help. One was rude, one said sorry no, and the last offered to try. Because it was already soldered he couldn't solder again, but he stuck it all together with tape.
It's a dodgy job but it'll do. I've already had to fix it once again.
Monday is going to be hell, hopefully I can organise something for Tuesday. I expect even so, new glasses will take at least a few days.

When I get the new glasses, I'm getting these frames mounted in something and putting them somewhere safe. I'm not sure why I don't have a spare. I could have sworn I did. I guess I must have chucked them in the last move.
