V is for Vookie  #

I feel I should add that there was much to V For Vendetta that I did like. I thought Nat's performance was excellent. I enjoy elements of V, such as his ability to portray some emotion even though he is masked the entire movie.

I didn't like V's dialog most of the time. I don't know if it was the dialog itself or the voice acting. But I really felt for the character. In a world where history and art is being deliberately destroyed he is saving it in his little cave. I'd do that.

In fact for the whole movie I could see how hugely intense some of these scenes were supposed to be but I felt nothing from them. That annoyed me more than anything. And for that I can only blame the directors. I liked the ideas, I liked the timing of the movies release, but all the nice feelings were made up in my head and I didn't get the directly from the movie.

I don't know why I feel I need to explain my general dislike of this movie. There are a lot of people (countries) who should watch this movie, but maybe they should read the graphic novel instead?

Or maybe the graphic novels sucks too? I'm not sure I can be bothered to find out.
