What I enjoyed most about the original Omen was that if you bend your mind the right way you can imagine that Damien wasn't the Antichrist at all, just a kid that threw tantrums a lot who was the victim of religious nutjobs, honest accidents and suggestive movie directing.

Only with your mind bent that way can the true horror of the film be felt. Suggestable adults attempting to kill an innocent child, and in the process, sending him insane (or "evil").

I can't see the remake having any of that subtlety, or the bit with the scary music and the dogs.

So nerr.
